Windscreens and Backlights
Important: Please note that the preferred method of supplying windscreens and window glass is for the customer to pre-arrange to pick it up, either directly from our premises or from our stand at one of the many shows we attend. Except in special circumstances we do not supply these items by mail order.

For door and rear door glass, please see the Door Locks, Glazing and Fittings sections.

Windscreen
Back in the 60s and 70s Minis came out of the factory with windscreens made from toughened glass (the type that shatters into thousands of granules that get into every nook and cranny in the car...), switching over a period of time to the eminently more practical laminated type as market forces (and local regulations) dictated.

Today, we offer a range of laminated windscreens allowing the customer the choice of clear, tinted or top tinted glass. We can even supply a thoroughly up-to-date heated windscreen for those exasperated by the well-known inefficiencies of the Mini's demister system – highly recommended particularly for pick ups, which have the worst cabin ventilation of all. If you are converting your car to a heated windscreen, you really should consider purchasing our harness and relay kit (part no. HWWK01) to take the guesswork out of wiring it up.
Ill. No.	Part No.	Description	Qty. Rqd.	Remarks
1	24A2236	GLASS, windscreen, laminated, clear	1	All models with clear glazing.
CZH4048	GLASS, windscreen, laminated, green tinted	1	All models with green tinted glazing.

2	14A8743	SEAL, rubber, windscreen glass	1	For original toughened glass windscreens.
CCB100130	SEAL, rubber, windscreen glass, wide	1	For laminated glass windscreens.
To be honest, while these two screen seals look and are different, in reality both can be used with laminated glass. However, if you intend to refit an original toughened windscreen, good luck - and by the way, the early seal 14A8743 should be used.

CRB10185	DOOR MIRROR ASSEMBLY, LH, colour coded	1	Some limited editions 1989-96, plus all models 1997 on.
CRB10184 and CRB10185 are mirrors with heads painted the same colour as the car, except for Cooper models which had White Diamond mirrors up to 1999, then a choice of Old English White or Platinum Silver, depending on the roof colour of the car. The mirror stems on coloured mirrors were always black.

Important note: to order CRB10184 or CRB10185 mirrors, the correct three character colour suffix must be applied to the part number. For example, a right hand mirror in Cherry Red would be CRB10184COG, where COG is the colour suffix or code. For confirmation that you have chosen the correct colour, look at the vehicle identification number (VIN) plate under the bonnet - it displays the colour code of your car. Unsurprisingly, we do not hold all of these colours as normal stock items, only the more common colours such as the white Cooper mirrors. Please contact us to be advised on the availability of your mirror colour.

Colours used (with part number suffixes in brackets) are, in approximate order of introduction from 1989 onwards: Cherry Red (COG), Black (PMF), Flame Red (COF), British Racing Green (HNA), Midnight Blue(JQW), Storm Grey (LOZ), White Diamond (NMN), Caribbean Blue (UME), Cranberry Red (COS), Nightfire Red (COQ), Electric Blue (JSA), White Diamond 2 (NAL), Brooklands Green (HYF), Hawaiian Blue (JFK), Anthracite (LQW), Solar Red (CMU), Black 2 (PAK), British Racing Green 2 (HAM), Nightfire Red 2 (CAQ), Platinum Silver (MNX), Tahiti Blue (JRJ), Almond Green (HAK), Volcano (EAC), Whitehall Beige (SAR), Amaranth (KMN), Kingfisher Blue (JAX), Surf Blue (JEN), Yukon Grey (LQS), Paul Smith Blue (JYX), Old English White (NUD), Mulberry Red (CDM), Island Blue (JFU), Old English White (NNX), Sienna Gold (GUF), British Racing Green 3 (HFF).
