All systems shown are mild steel or aluminised, as available. For stainless steel, contact Somerford Mini. All silencers are now oval-ended (some used to be crimped) but are dimensionally as original.

Saloon 848cc, 1959-67

Cooper and Cooper S, 1961-67 (Single Box)
By the end of the 1960s the factory superseded this single box system with the twin box type shown further down the page, which fits as a straight swap for the earlier design. The single box system is now rarely seen and is included here mainly for reference purposes.

Cooper and Cooper S, 1961-69 (Triple Box; Some Export Markets)

Cooper and Cooper S, 1967-71 (Twin Box)
Fitted as standard on late Cooper and Cooper S models, this twin box system may also be used on earlier cars. Alternatively, the very similar RC40 system (which utilises the same mountings) can be fitted - please see the ‘Exhaust Systems - Uprated’ section of the Somerford Mini catalogue for details.
