Lucas Type 14W With Single or Two Speed Operation

There were many versions of this motor, all interchangeable. However, when overhauling a 14W motor, the brush gear and parking switches are specific to early and late versions. The motor you have may be identified by the suffix to the Lucas 5 digit part number stamped on the casing: A or B indicates an early type motor, whereas any other suffix or no suffix at all indicates a late type.
