Spring Nut Screws

Return back to contents

Spring nut screws are designed to engage with those U-, C- or J-shaped spring nuts found behind such items as the Mini’s front indicator lamps. Note that using a spring nut screw to tap a blunt, rough thread or using a self tapping screw to cut through a spring nut compromises the strength of the fixing. Large diameter spring nut screws have hex heads while all others have screwdriver type heads: see Machine Screws for screwdriver type explanation.
